Your suspension is a critical part of your heavy-duty truck. It’s responsible for supporting the weight of your truck and cargo, absorbing road vibrations and impacts, as well as allowing for easy handling and maneuverability. At Impulse Repairs, we’ve got the services you need to get your suspension back in great shape.
Contact UsYour shock absorbers are designed to absorb road vibrations and impacts to protect your vehicle’s components from harm. Without your shocks, your other components would be absorbing the vibrations, which in turn can cause damage and increase the chances of an unexpected breakdown. Not to mention you and your passengers will be extremely uncomfortable.
The most common type of shock absorber damage is leaking fluid. If your shocks don’t have enough fluid, they’ll fail to adequately absorb road impacts. You’ll also likely notice a significant rebound control problem, meaning when you hit a bump, your wheels will bounce uncontrollably.
Leaf springs have a reputation for being durable and resilient, but if you drive in areas with a lot of moisture, your leaf springs can rust. Common areas in which leaf springs start to rust include your hangers, shackles, and joints. Fortunately, these components can be replaced relatively easily. If the plates themselves are rusted through, you may need to get your entire leaf spring replaced.
Leaf spring setups are relatively easy to replace and maintain, for they’re nowhere near as complicated as air suspension setups. If you have damaged leaf springs, you can rest assured knowing we’ve got the tools and equipment to replace, repair, or maintain them.
Need to get your suspension serviced? Whether you need shock absorber repair or leaf spring replacements, Impulse Repairs has your back.
